Mariane and I met at the Beachcomber around 50 years ago. I married very young and was "out of the loop" for a while but we met up occasionally for reunions. Two years ago we met in London to see Thriller and spent a lovely weekend. Last June Mariane came to my house when Jan and Eddie came over from Canada. It was so lovely to see her and we really appreciated her making the effort to visit. Mariane was always a beautiful, kind and probably the most gentle person I have ever met. I am so sorry I can't be at the funeral but will be thinking of her all that day. Rest In Peace Mariane, you were taken from us far too soon xx
