Dear Mariane , you are gone far too soon . I will always see you in my mind one summer night at the Cromwellian in 1970 , you were wearing an emerald green lace evening dress and dancing brilliantly as ever to Stevie Wonder's Signed , Sealed , Delivered - you looked so stunningly beautiful and elegant , and so you remained , a truly gracious , funny lady with a heart of gold . We reminisced about our teenage years when we enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Vilanova a couple of years ago , we laughed a lot about our silly feuds but were so glad to have become firm friends .
Rest in peace now all my love Lesley xx

I have known Mariane since we went to school together many years ago. Over time, we lost touch, but I had the pleasure of spending a week with her and other friends in Vilanova, Spain a few years ago, and when I came to visit friends in the UK last year, Mariane found the strength to travel to Bolton and join us. We have lost a good friend, a gracious lady and a brave woman who left a wonderful legacy - a family and friends who loved her unconditionally. Jan Carter Fiore (Canada)

I have so many fond memories of Mariane. She was beautiful lady; indside and outside. When I moved into UK from Finland back in 2006; she was always very supportive and encouraging towards me. I felt part of the family right from the beginning! It meant a lot to me, being far from my own family and loved ones. I adored her meals. She loved cooking passionately and she was such a good cook. She also loved flowers and gardening - as do I. Mariane will be greatly missed. Rest in peace dear Mariane. My thoughts and prays are with David and her family.
